Statement of Need

Technology access is no longer optional—it is essential. In today’s rapidly evolving world, digital equity has become a universal right, yet it remains out of reach for many of America’s students. In the face of pandemics, superstorms, and global economic shifts, technology is the bridge that keeps learning alive and competitive in a virtual and global marketplace. According to McKinsey & Gates (2018), the demand for technical talent is surging, and industries across the board are racing to enhance their technical capabilities.

Yet, significant barriers remain

21% of children in America live below the poverty line, with higher rates in Nevada and California.

Nearly 35% of Nevada schools and 60% of California schools are Title 1, serving predominantly low-income families.

67% of fourth graders nationwide are not reading at a proficient level, a statistic disproportionately impacting communities of color.

Schools in these communities often lack the resources, technology, and professionally trained staff to integrate technology-rich and literacy-focused curricula effectively. The result? A persistent achievement gap that hinders students’ ability to succeed in school and beyond.

THE SOLUTION:

ENGAGING, INSPIRING, AND EMPOWERING YOUTH

Research shows that students who participate in after-school programs are:

50% more likely
to improve their grades.

More likely to pursue higher education and rewarding careers.

More engaged in learning, with a decreased likelihood of risky behavior.

These programs provide safe, structured environments where students can develop critical life skills, foster a love for learning, and build strong community connections. Without Limits bridges this gap, providing innovative, immersive educational experiences that spark creativity, resilience, and academic success.
